Welcome to MacroMetric! This Privacy Policy explains how BBapps ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the MacroMetric mobile application ("App"). By using MacroMetric, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Product Data: When you add products to track, we store nutritional information including product names, calories, protein, carbohydrates, fats, and other macronutrient data you enter or scan.
- Feedback and Support: If you contact us for support or submit feedback, we may collect your email address and the content of your communication.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Anonymous User Identifier: We use Firebase Authentication to create an anonymous user ID. This allows us to sync your data across devices without requiring personal information like your name or email address.
- Scan History: When you scan product barcodes, we automatically save the product information to your scan history. This allows you to access previously scanned products even when offline.
- Camera Access: We request camera permission solely for barcode scanning functionality. We do not store, transmit, or process camera images beyond real-time barcode detection.
- Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the App, including features used, screens viewed, and actions taken.
- Device Information: We may collect device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
- Analytics Data: We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand App usage patterns and improve our services. This includes session duration, app opens, and feature engagement.
- Crash Reports: We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and diagnostic information to help us improve app stability. These reports do not contain personal information.
1.3 Information from Third-Party Services
- Open Food Facts: When you scan product barcodes, we retrieve nutritional information from the Open Food Facts database. This is a public database and no personal data is shared with them.
- RevenueCat: For subscription management, we use RevenueCat which processes purchase information through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. RevenueCat receives transaction data but does not have access to your payment details.
